Seattle or Bust!

After months of anticipation, Stephen and I are headed this week to the Emerald City, where we’ll coordinate a vintage Mardi Gras wedding for two amazing clients and friends on Saturday.

Though much of our time will be spent preparing for and of course working at the wedding, we’re also excited to sneak in a little free time to explore the sites, visit our close friend who’s completing his residency at a local hospital and take in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Along with coordinating my last wedding of the season, this week I'm also happily welcoming the home stretch of the grad school semester, the completion of a magazine freelance project I've been working on, and the fact that next week I'll get to enjoy a relaxing Thanksgiving and celebrate the start of the holidays.

Have you ever been to Seattle, and if so, which sites do you consider must-sees? Are there any restaurants you especially love that we should check out?

Have a wonderful week, everyone! I'll be back soon with lots of fun recaps and stories to share.

  7. Wow - you are one busy girl! I visited Seattle often when I lived in Alaska - just because it was our connection to the lower 48. It's so green and pretty, I'm sure you'll love it!

  10. Hope you have an amazing time, and it doesn't rain too much! I grew up near Seattle, and the #1 stop I always would recommend is a visit to Pike Place Market. Make sure you get some donuts while you're there, and of course, some Starbucks. And if you have the budget for it, eating at the Space Needle is a really unique experience. The food isn't really *that* great, but you can't beat the views on a clear day.

Hope you have a great trip!

  20. I love Seattle and spent 8 months there for a project on Boeing. The best steakhouse I've ever been to is the Metropolitan, definitely go there. Oceanair is also fantastic for seafood, and the shopping at Pacific place is great! Hope you have time for Pike's market, and you can go to the original Starbucks and Lowell's was where they filmed when harry met sally! Enjoy!

  21. Have fun! I've always wanted to visit the east coast and Seattle...maybe that has to do with my obsession with the movie Sleepless in Seattle.
