After enduring more than a week of temperatures that hovered
right around the 100-degree mark or higher (we’re finally down into the 80s – hooray!), I’ve been daydreaming more than ever about my future dream
home and the glorious pool I plan to construct in the backyard.
Unlike the community pool here in our apartment complex,
which is small, shallow, always crowded and constantly scrutinized by the
watchful eyes of a lifeguard, my someday pool -- like those seen below -- will be a private refuge of escape
and relaxation, as well as the perfect setting for the occasional pool party or
summer BBQ bash.

soo nice, i would want something like that too! apartments suck lol
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pool inspirations! I especially love the one with the swim-up bar and BBQ area. Pretty much no one has their own pool here in SF (it's usually too cold for outdoor swimming), and the gym's pool is so . . . clinical? The pools you pinned are far superior, and I'd love to have one of our own one day as well.
ReplyDeleteoh goodness! sign me up. i want, i want!
ReplyDeleteone day :)
I'm coming over...
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome inspiration pics, Heather!!! That last one is dreeeeamy.
Oh, I'm not on twitter but I'm totally mentally RT your 50 shades tweet. EWWWW, already!!!
YES! Totally agree with you, now that we have a little pool life is so much sweeter and enjoyable, even after coming back from the beach it's great to take a dip on some fresh refreshing water... A pool is a must have for sure, love all your images!
ReplyDeleteI would love a backyard oasis like that, but Northern California doesn't stay hot long enough to really enjoy it. My dream home has to have an amazing kitchen and amazing master bathroom....and I would love a game room with an air hockey table.

What a gorgeous pool! My dream home is a mediterannean villa with a semi-circular drive way. It would have a fountain in the front, and a 1,000 SF closet just for me. :)
ReplyDeleteoh em geeeeee, Heather, I WANT A POOL. That last one is exceptiontally beautiful. It looks like there just happened to be chairs by that waterhole. GORGEOUS.

ReplyDeleteWe have a pool at our complex too but hardly ever use it. Its just not the same as a home pool!!
amazing inspiration pools!! my inlaws have a really nice pool and they are two blocks away from us, so we are def. reaping the benefits of pool ownership and living vicariously through them for now!

I have a lot of dream home must haves! A pool is definitely on the list and like you I want one that is beautiful and relaxing. Other must haves for my home include a huge kitchen with tons of storage, a breakfast nook, and a library/craft room that must have bookshelves built into the walls, a few comfy chairs to read in, and a large table where I can craft at!

Can this be my home, please? I find the water so relaxing!
