New Year, New Me: 365 Workouts

Happy 2015, everyone! I hope you all enjoyed wonderful holidays and are ready for new adventures in the new year. Our Christmas and New Year’s Eve were both fun and relaxing, and today we’ll be heading into DC to check out the Botanic Garden’s annual holiday display and also see a performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Like so many other people, I try to be serious about health and fitness all year long, but sometimes struggle to stay committed during times of stress, boredom or just plain laziness. That’s why this year, I’m launching my 365 Workouts plan and setting a goal to be physically active every day, whether by heading to a Flight Fit trampoline class, doing a Jillian Michaels DVD, going out for a walk when the weather is warm or even just lifting hand-weights while watching TV after dinner.

I already got a positive jump-start toward the end of 2014, and have seen definite improvements in the way I look and feel. Here’s hoping those improvements will continue into 2015. Now, who’s with me?

What are your goals for 2015?

  2. Happy New Year! We signed up for a half marathon, so whether we want to or not, we have to train for it.

  3. I'm with you! I want to at least get out and walk every day. I don't know if i can make 10k steps every day, but can try. I also did some pushups this morning and will try to remember to do a little strength training when I can!

    1. Thanks! I've been doing DVD workouts, too, and it's made a big difference. Even 20 minutes a day helps keep me on track.

    1. Thanks, and way to go on returning to Zumba! I tried it once and had fun. I'll be sure to post updates from time to time. Mostly, I go to trampoline boot camp and do fitness DVDs during the winter months. I love walking and being outside, but it's just too cold right now!

  7. My goals are to get healthy and fit this year. The last year was a little rough on me and I did not take much thought into it. Changing it this year as I really want to take care of myself and feel better. Here's to 2015!
